Maddie and Zach are tying the knot in July 2025 in beautiful Lyons, Colorado, and I couldn’t be more excited to be part of their journey! When Maddie first reached out to me, I immediately knew they would be an absolute blast to work with. They’re the kind of couple who can have fun anywhere they go — easy-going, adventurous, and full of love for each other and for life in Colorado.

For their engagement session, they really wanted a setting that felt true to them: lush greenery paired with sweeping mountain views. Since we scheduled their session for mid-April, I knew we had to find a location that would already be showing signs of spring. Flatirons Vista Trailhead near Boulder was the perfect choice — vibrant, green, and offering some of the best views of the Colorado Front Range.

As a Colorado engagement photographer, one of the things I care most about is making sure my couples feel completely comfortable — not just in front of the camera, but with me as well. Your wedding day moves so fast, and there isn’t always time to ease into that comfort. That’s why I treat every engagement session as a chance for us to connect, have fun, and get rid of any nerves before the big day.

My goal for every engagement shoot is simple: I want it to feel like the best date night you’ve had in a long time — not a stiff or formal photo shoot. When you’re relaxed and truly enjoying yourselves, that’s when the magic happens and those candid, joyful moments are captured effortlessly.
